Hextris
About Hextris
A fast-paced puzzle game where you rotate a central hexagon to match three or more blocks of the same color.
How to play
Use the left and right arrow keys or A and D to rotate the central hexagon. Coloured blocks fall in from the edges; spin the hex so falling blocks land next to matching colours on its sides. When three or more blocks of the same colour touch in a row, they disappear and you free up space to keep playing.
Tips and tricks
Try to keep stacks of blocks low and even on all sides of the hexagon so you have more room to react to incoming colours. Look ahead to see which side the next block will appear on and rotate early rather than at the last moment. Clearing multiple groups in quick succession not only keeps the board tidy but can also boost your score.
Why this game works well at school or work
Hextris offers quick, high-score-based sessions that train reaction time and colour matching in a compact format. A single game can be as short or long as your focus allows, which makes it flexible for different break lengths. Since it runs in the browser and relies on just a couple of keys, it is simple to play on classroom or office computers without extra setup.
